Our apparel manufacturer client located near Yorkdale Mall in Toronto is looking for a Pattern Grader. The Pattern Grader is responsible for grading of all the Company's patterns using Gerber CAD System. This position is accountable for following established sizing standards by using existing grade rules and whenever necessary, creating new grade rules to support the fit and styling of the garments.? It is also Pattern Grader?s responsibility to check patterns & models for accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:

Grading of all new patterns
-
Updating grading of existing patterns as necessary
-
Following Production Schedule to complete all grading and grading verification on time
-
Check patterns prior to grading for accuracy
-
Working closely with Pattern Makers & Product Developers to achieve the desired look of the garments
-
Providing sizing information for all trims as needed
-
Requesting, monitoring and assessing making of size samples
-
Other tasks as assigned by Supervisor or Manager

Requirements:
|
-
College Degree or Diploma in apparel design and manufacturing preferred
-
2- 3 years' experience in grading making
-
2 -3 years' experience using Gerber CAD Systems
-
Knowledge of pattern making & sewing is mandatory
-
Experience with outerwear garments is an asset
-
Ability to work independently, with little supervision
-
Must have own vehicle for travel
-
Computer literate-Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Outlook to Intermediate level
-
Should be organized, detail oriented, team player, multi task oriented
-
Effective communication & interpersonal skills required to build relationships across the business
